About The Department
The Human Resources Management program will introduce the
student to the principles and essentials of Human Resources Management,
structure of Human Resources Management system and its environment. Such
introduction is presented in two main subjects: Principles Of Management and
Human Resources Management. Other subjects, such as Changes Management, Labor
Relations, Human Resources Development, Performance Management and Compensation
Management are more concerned with building the ability, skills and knowledge.
The knowledge and skills gained by the student throughout the course will
enable him to define the employment needs, build the Human potential, negotiate
and encourage employees. At the completion of the program the student will be
able to apply ways and means of problem-solving techniques and decision-making
in the field of Human Resources Management. The program extends its boundaries
to include complementary fields since other subjects in the department provides
essential knowledge in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, the use of
Computers in making administrative decisions and Strategy Building. The student
will be also enlightened with a number of quantitative analysis tools provided
by subjects such as Micro and Macro Economics and Quantitative Business
Analysis.
This major is considered the gate to a variety of career
opportunities due to the essential role of Human Resources in all types and
forms of small or large, local or international, institutions and all
administrative levels from executive director to a small retail project owner
and all types of business from international industrial to web based business.
Such importance is reflected by the fact that the burden of Saudization of
employment in business sectors is laid on Human Resources executives. All this
means a bright professional future filled with challenges. Job opportunities
include Training Management, Service Sectors, Election and Training Department,
Electronic Human Resources Management, Work Force Planning and recruitment in
all fields. Therefore, a Human Resources Management graduate finds a variety of
career opportunities locally and internationally. Nevertheless, profitable
organizations are not the only area of practice; a Human Resources Management
graduate can also find opportunities in non-profitable organizations such as
public hospitals, universities government sectors and service institutions such
as social service centers and rehabilitation centers.
The program of the College of Business Administration provides
the ability to qualify students to work in Human Resources Management. Also the
