GENERAL MANAGER, CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY DEPARTEMNT 

OF  DALLAH ALBARAKA, JEDDAH, VISITS CBA

AND OFFERS SIX SCHOLARSHIPS FROM DALLAH ALBARAKA FOR MALE AND FEMALE STUDENTS

On Saturday, 7th April, 2007, Dr. Nadia Baeshen,  General Manager, Corporate Social Responsibility Department  of  Dallah Albaraka Group, Jeddah, visited  College of Business Administration, CBA,  Girls Section at Sari Road, Jeddah, and then the  Boys Campus at Dahban, North of Jeddah., to follow up with the visit by  Dallah Albaraka Group Chairman Shaikh Saleh Kamel   which  took place on March 24, 2007. On that visit Shaikh Saleh Kamel had promised to offer services under the umbrella of the Corporate Social Services Department of  his Group.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

During her visit she held meetings with Dr. Abdullah Dahlan, Chairman  of the CBA Board of Trustees, Prof. Hussein Al-Alawi, College Dean,  Professor Mohammed Nouri Quotah, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Alaa Nasseef, Vice Dean of Girls Campus and other officials at boys and girls campuses,  and discussed matters of mutual interest. 

The Chairman Dr. Abdullah Dahlan deeply thanking her and Dallah Albaraka Group  presented her a momento of the College.

In her meetings Dr. Baeshen announced  Dallah Group’s decision to grant six scholarships to CBA students; four for girls and two for boys.   

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr. Nadia Baeshen  toured the Boys Campus in Dahban, North Jeddah, and was accompanied by Professor Mohammed Nouri Quotah, Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, Dr. Bakur Quotah, Chairman Accounting Department,  Dr. Alaa Nasseef, Vice Dean of Girls Campus and some other female officials of CBA  Girls Section from Sari Campus.  

During the tour, she also visited CBA  Career Center at Dahban and was welcomed by Mr. Syed  Khursheed Alam, Sr. Coordinator,  who explained the Career Center’s  various services offered to students,  system of students 3-month coop training  as  a part of curriculum  and about  arranging graduating students coop training  with companies, banks etc. and  about facilitating permanent job placements for graduate students.

Dr. Nadia Baeshen indicated that there are many companies under the umbrella of  Dallah Albaraka Group and expressed her willingness to cooperate & coordinate through her Department  between  CBA  & Dallah Albaraka Group’s companies in providing chances to CBA students for their coop training and also for full time employment opportunities for graduate students, particularly those with higher grades, in the Group’s companies  in the fields of Marketing, Accounting, Finance, MIS, Logistics and Human Resource. 

CBA statistics show that 85% of its students find employment upon graduation, 10 percent  work in  their family business or  start own business and 5% pursue higher studies.

In cooperation with the American Academy of Financial Management (AAFM), Dallah Albaraka has also granted the CBA,  training scholarships to qualify students for international fellowships.                                                                              

Dr. Nadia Baeshen said,  “We’re offering students training in Accounting and Finance throughout their college years until they graduate. The certificates they obtain qualify them to work with Dallah Albaraka after graduation or in any other job in the private sector.”

Dr. Nadia Baeshen also announced the opening of the Dallah Albaraka Academy of Voluntary Work sometime soon. The company is preparing for 48 social projects that require young male and female volunteers.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

“We are open to suggestions and training programs. As long as these ideas are in line with Dallahh Albaraka’s strategies, Shaikh Saleh Kamel will respond, ”  said Dr. Nadia Baeshen.

Professor Mohammed Quotah greatly thanked her and Dallah Albaraka Group on behalf of CBA for their gracious cooperation for promoting the cause of education and  welfare of students. 

The Career Center will be sending the CVs of  students to Dr. Nadia Baeshen, and will be coordinating with her on the subject.
